love the total scrappy quilt on the bed
using all ugly fabrics...
in my opinion
yesterday we set the blocks out
a few different ways
Mom says we need more orange, more dark blue
we are not going to use black
or many plaids or checks
out of our normal fabric comfort zone...
This morning I spent some time
outside trimming bushes
pulling weeds
listening to the birds
other than the death glare
coming from Olivia in the kitchen window
it was lovely
I love the browns and blues in your patches...so nice! Trying to get yard work done...but I get the death glare from Rory in her pack and play!

ReplyDeleteOh I have looked at that pic of the quilt on the bed many times. It's so very charming in its use of non matchy prints!
ReplyDeleteIt is fun to do scrap patches and fun for your mom to help you plan how to arrange them.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking of doing some small ones up with an appliqué, maybe do some for future presents.
