Being a caregiver is a very stressful task. Not only watching the decline of parents who were once vibrant but the task as decision maker in their best interests. Thankfully they have you as their advocate. Right now my mother is doing well, in a "new normal," but every crisis takes many months to recover from. She is finally back to where she was in December, but it took six months following pneumonia and CHF in January. Same experience following separate hip fractures.

Making decisions for someone else is so very hard and emotionally exhausting. You're doing it for both parents at the same time, and doing the actual hands-on care of your mother is physically exhausting as well.

wishing you and your parents well. ...jan janhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03066375977524543633noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9206850144285206979.post-84918165065175306162013-07-08T12:49:07.567-05:002013-07-08T12:49:07.567-05:00It is so hard with the elderly and injuries, I sur...It is so hard with the elderly and injuries, I sure hope they can find a solution for him but whatever you decide will be best for him and that is what counts, never feel guilty. Does your mom like to cut strips? Maybe that would be a fun job for her when you are home at night so you can keep an eye on things;)

DebbieWoolenSailshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08621977477193550261noreply@blogger.com
