This Rug Needs Work

some progress here

still not loving it

but will hook more

before any more reverse hooking takes place

II could use one of these

to mix with my other little quilts...

just not in red

(it's on ebay if you need it)

found some patches already

in progress...they were going to be 9 patches

but are now destined to be

a little blue and tan 1 patch...

how about that fancy pincushion

otherwise known as a stack of

patches for a different project

the Clover patchwork pins

are a dream for hand piecing...

  3. Love the patches, the blue is so antiquie looking.
I've found I never really know what one of my P/N pcs looks like until its finished. I sometimes am pleasantly surprised (and sometimes not).

  5. Not sure what you don't like, seems the vase is a bit solid? Love those blues you are working with, really looks like old material. And I love that quilt on the bed.

  8. That is one gorgeous quilt and kitty in your header!
If it's any comfort I started out not liking my rug when I had about that much hooked.....it wasn't coming out how I envisioned. I kept on hooking but did reverse hook small sections. This is quite a challenge piece! I adore those blue wools in your birds.... I wanted my birds blue and blue they remained!!!
Your patches are wonderful too! Antique blue calico is wonderful!
    Hang in there.....
    Hugs!

  10. Is hooking rugs hard? Is it similar to punch-needling?
