Random Acts of Kindness

with snow falling all morning

it was the perfect time

to pick up my hook...


the antique inspiration piece

is still on the back burner

so I drew up a little bird on a basket

(from a Cheri Payne pattern)


the finished project is going to be an

RAK gift

random acts of kindness

for one of my friends

in my ebay group...

    Whoever gets that will be truly blessed!
    On several occasions, I have sent woolly worms and linen to hooker wannabees.
    We didn't get nearly the snow predicted, but the wind has been a howlin'. I did get a bit of hooking done and as soon as I get off this darned computer, I will pull a few more loops!

    Oh someone is going to be so very happy indeed! How wouldn't?! <3 I didn't even know what RAK was until you shared with us in the group several years ago. I try, but am ashamed that I don't practice it enough. I hope to be as good as you are one of these day! :-)

    Becoming a recent owner of one of your lovely rugs, I know the happy recipient will be over the moon! Love the birdie! I've been gifting folks a lot lately...mostly in yarn, but also in hooking kits and frames. It's a wonderful feeling!

    How sweet Kelley! Wish I could do more RAK's but just not possible lately unfortunately with the way things are with no income. However, I have "rak-d" in the past and love it when it arrives on a day someone really needs it - just warms the heart!

    Question for you. Why are so many of the old rugs done in beiges, tans and reds? Time after time I see these colors and I have been wondering? Do you have an answer?

    Re: RAK - I always try to help brand new hookers. If someone shows an interest, I ALWAYS off to help show them the way. Especially the younger girls who may be searching out a new craft.

    I, too, own one of your special mats. No, I actually own 2! You are one-of-a-kind special! Thanks for being you.

    Oh Kelley, too sweet! As for the RAK, I try and do it on a daily basis. Not necessarily with material things, but by giving support, comments, gestures, etc. I too have given a new hooker the materials needed for their first piece, and they have taken off and have done the same for others who they have shown. I just love to see that! Congratulating up front the winner of your gracious piece.. they are going to love it!!
