October Pumpkins

yesterday I planned on making

some stuffed pumpkins

cotton velvet ~ wool ~ homespun?


once I started looking through

the wool stash

I know it was futile...


I had to hook

nothing would do but hooking


cut some strips

drew a few pumpkins on linen

then got to work

I couldn't put the hook down

it's only about 15 x 15

so finishing it in a day

was a breeze...

all that's left is to sign it in stitches



I think Melrose loves it

as much as I do!


the colors in this photo are

closest to the real thing


and Melrose does not have a cloudy eye

just shows up that way in photos sometimes

    Love the rug, Kelley!! I started to make some pumpkins too...but then I got busy binding one of my rugs. Melrose is like our kitties..they just love those warm rugs!

    You make the best pumpkins! That is such a sweet rug and 15 by 15 is a nice size! Your one fast hooker!!

    To me, finishing a 15 x 15 hooked mat in a day is beyond belief!!! That is impressive. Sure wish I could hook half that fast:) Love your colors.
