Thread and Assorted

this morning I gathered up containers full of thread

sewing and office supplies

some in bags, boxes and one basket

 

don't you know the minute mom saw the basket

she asked if she could have it

 

well, of course

since it was hers anyway

she had me take it from her room last year

 

now it's new to her again

a great treasure!

 





 

Mom, Ann and I

divided the thread into separate

light, dark and other containers

 

we organized the scissors, needled and pins

staplers, staples and paper clips

 

it took about an hour

while we talked about their great bingo wins this morning

how mom had an extra helping

of sauerkraut for dessert (Ann hates it)

and about why I have silver metallic thread...

 

pretty soon we were all ready for a nap

 

Mom needs help to bed

so we did one of her new puzzles while we waited

for the aides to get to us

(after lunch is a bust time)

 

these little projects make their day

mine too
