Cotton, Wool and Cats

I finally broke down last week

ordered a little bit of new fabric to round out my stash...

most are 1/4 yards...Civil War and Jo Morton

after I wash them Mom will get half of each

I really must learn how to use this camera indoors

at least you can see the direction the new design is taking... will Reverse Hook (aka rip out) the vase and flowers

not as bad as I'd thought

changed the blue to olive and added some red...

still drab but more interesting

don't feel sorry for Melrose

he was in the windowsill for over an hour

before he gave Olivia a turn...

Melrose hasn't heard of the Ladies First rule apparently. Maybe he was just making sure it was safe for her!!

I love the "taking turns" going on there. Same thing happens here....Oni and Britty fight to sit on the sofa. When Greg is home there is only enough room for one of them to sit there. It's a real fussing around until they get settled. And then when Greg gets up there is room for them both...that's where they spend most of their day. Heaven forbid they have to lay on the carpeted floor!!! Can I say spoiled???

Love the rug. I love the color olive. Can't wait to see it. Hope you're enjoying your new home!!

Love the new fabric, really nice shades. Not sure if our shop carries her line, which I find strange. Love the colors in the rug. I have enough windows to make the kitties happy, so they don't have to share, but it seems they always want the same one, lol.

Your rug is looking good, Kelley. Love the colors. Can't wait to see the finished product. Your new cotton fabric choices are great also.
Looks like the kitties love the new house!!

Your cottons are gorgeous Kelley, mmmmmm, just lovely!
Like the rug too. Great close up shot of the colors. Very drab and wonderful!

How funny! I just acquired that same pattern at my rug hooking guild's giveaway! I like the pattern, but will be making some changes. (And thank heavens mine is not on monks cloth!) I want to make the birds very colorful and perhaps make the vase or flowers bigger? I like your border very much. The rug is waiting for another day as I am in the midst of a few others- of course!
