Love the antique cat rug in the header! Your Mom's stitching is wonderful! I think I like the quilt you are piecing the way it is.... maybe what it's missing is a Cheri Payne style applique? Or, maybe the quilting needs to be done with a pearl cotton?

Love the snowman piece, is that the winter book?
I think that is the one, I haven't got, so will have to remember to get one from ebay one of these days.

I like how your new piece is now, the darker shades really made a difference. One thing I notice on the antique one, is that it is not all strips, it has blocks in a mixed scrappy way.

The tea towel is so cute! Reminds me that I was going to search online for some towels to decorate.

I love your Mom's tea towel, esp. the birds. Still love your colors in the blocks, maybe set against some sashes of ivory, cream, or white? Whatever you do with them, I'm sure they will be lovely!

Your mom does beautiful work!
LOVE the antique cat in your header. It would be so cool to own such a wonderful rug!
I'm not a quilter, but I think your blocks look perfect.
Pug hugs :)

I do like the scrappy quilt. I agree with what Debbie (Woolensails) said. It might need a few plain blocks scattered around ~ dark ones.

I really love the look of the tea towel because there are no faces on the characters and how you used prints to make it unique. I don't think I've seen that before.
