When it's just me at home I usually keep it on about 62. If I get cold just put on sweats. I do turn it up though when Emma comes to play since she is close to the ground((-: Stay warm and have a good weekend

I don't like it very warm, but my husband does, so we try to compromise!
Funny cartoon...we have a huge cat who loves to lay on the heating vents. You can't even see the vent when he's on it! LOL! :)

I love it cool, My thermostat is usually set around 56. I have lots of sweats and also throws to put over me if I'm cold. Now Greg would like the heat to be up to 85. He's always cold, I'm always hot I hate to sleep in a hot room. I use a sheet to cover up, he uses the sheet, blanket and a comforter and is still cold!!

I've been keeping ours at 70 deg. so far and feel like I'm deprived. I get soooo cold ~ maybe I should work harder and then I'd warm up! 60 deg. would kill me!!!!!!

I'm with you, Kelley..60 degrees is perfect...but between my husband and two cats...the heat always seems to be around 68-70.

Cute, cute cartoon!

I'm with you Alice! Brrrrrr...must be at least 70...even then, I am a bit cool if just sitting.

Brrrr, you ladies are making me cold just thinking about it! I thought I was doing good with the thermostat set at 67. We have a gas fireplace too that I will turn on real quick to take the chill off the room then turn it back off. One thing is for sure, your heating bills will be lower than mine lol.

I'm with Alice, Jacque, Kathy, etc. I am sitting here with the furnace cranked up and have a portable heater on, too. I can't stand being cold. If I'm not having a hot flash, I'm freezing!
Hugs :)

I'm right there with you Kelley - My husband is worse than me - he'd have the heat off - I keep telling him we have to keep them on for the pipes and the kitty pawpads! We've been told we live in "anartica" - hey the kitchen, dining room and living room are cold but our bedroom (and my rug hooking room) are on the third floor and it's always at least 10-15 degrees warmer up there! My kitties help keep us warm too!

I was always pretty content with the temps being between 55-80 degress....I slept in the hot or cold...But,menopause changes everything...your body becomes it's own industrial powered boiler system...lol....65...just right...a hair above or below and I'm misrable....lol

68 - 70 for me and with that I am cold.. I do turn it down to 66 at night for sleeping. I figure paying for heat in the winter and a/c is the summer is just a fact of life but love it when you have one or two months inbetween without running the heat much and turning on the air.

Oh brrr.....I keep mine at 71 during the day, but turn it down to 66 at night for sleeping. And I've been wearing long johns for over 2 months already! I am ALWAYS freezing!!! Yeah, yeah, I know - I'm a sissy.... Happy, happy, Sunday! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

I would freeze at 60 degrees! We keep ours about 70 or so. Some rooms are much cooler, due to poor insulation/windows. So, I wouldn't want to be in those rooms if the furnace is set to 60 ~ it could be in the 50's in the room.

We have alwasy bragged about not turning on the heat. BUT...and that is a big BUT........living in Destin, FL in a house that is well off the ground.......we freeze. Kelley, if you take a shower in the morning - how do you get from the warm shower and into your clothing????? I would be shaking from one end to the other........and that ain't a pretty sight, believe me. When we moved here, I had to give up Lola, my little parrot. She would have been frozen like a little green pickle! I can do being cold alot better than being hot. Our heat is set at 68. Not one degree colder. In the summer, the a/c is set on 74-75 degr.......depending on how much house work I am doing. I salute you girl - you are one tough chickie.

I like 68 during the day (winter) and 65 at night, During the day I wear 2 sweaters and if its really cold out, an undershrt too. In hot summer months we keep the thermostat at 78, saves $$$ and energy.
