Yesterday I made a pot roast
in the crock pot that drove the cats mad
by the end of the day
Olivia had knocked the lid off
and was licking the inside of the pot
(the food was in the fridge by then)

That quilt is amazing... and your pot roast looks amazing too! It sounds like you are on the right mission... and Olivia is agreeing. <3
oops...I need to add the photo of the pot roast was taken from online, but pretty much what mine looked like...the fall apart type of roast...
Kelley, Think of the hours and hours that someone spent doing the applique on the quilt! And, yes I'd love to know the story behind it. Antique textiles are one of my great loves. ~Ann
Kelly, that quilt has my heart beating a little faster! It's one of those that you could stare at for days and not see all the details. Oh to know the story!
The pot roast pic.... I'd be right there with Olivia licking the crock!!

I had wondered about your header picture. This quilt is just amazing, the stories the pieces could tell! So good that you're saving with the food. Too bad your friends only got to lick the pot! They have their own personalities, don't they? Yours sound Very assertive! I'm enjoying your posts!
Happy Birthday, Kelley Girl's mama!!

Happy Happy Birthday to your Mom :)
Neat quilt, I would love to see close ups of it. I love seeing the mix of fabrics, what type of fabrics.
Thanks for sharing it.
Now that is one AMAZING quilt!! I cannot imagine doing that in a lifetime - let alone in a lifetime that must have been filled with many more domestic obligations than most of us have today....Wow..... Pot roast sounds yummy - one of my favorite comfort foods. Bet your folks enjoyed it....Happy belated 88th birthday to your mum! Smiles & Sunday Hugs ~ Robin
