A Blue Quilt

this is the blue quilt
I saw on eBay that has inspired
my current project
a few dozen 8" blocks are stitched
many more to go
I've been auditioning
alternating blocks...

while I'll never be shaped like this
I'd love to have that smile...
if only I could get the hang
of the hula hoop...
picked up one at the Dollar Store yesterday
no luck yet...

my version of this antique rug is on the frame
working on a few small colorful pieces
to cheer up my living room...
yesterday I finished the hooking
on a large bee skep

Wow! If hula hooping can give me a waist like that... I'm running to the dollar store right now! :-) Absolutely gorgeous blue quilt! I missed seeing that one on eBay... though now that you've shown it here... I would LOVE to try and make one too! Maybe we should have a quilt challenge to go along with our rug challenges? :-)

I love the simple scrap quilts, just something wonderful about them. I love the kitty piece on your banner, where did that come from?
