Amir and the 49ers

this is Amir
he's 5 years old
a real riot of a little boy...always in to something

he's the cousin of one of my favorite coworkers
she recently took him to a banquet
with the San Francisco 49ers here in town

after promising to be good
a new football was acquired for autographs
can you tell by the nearly empty room
he had to get there early to not miss a thing?

Amir started out a little shy...
having heard so many stories about him
I knew that wouldn't last...
he ended up explaining to everyone
how he'd been good in school all day
and got the smiley face sticker to prove it!

check out the players faces...
they are smiling at my friend Bria
she is drop dead gorgeous and the sweetest girl ever

Amir and Bria's friend
(he's one of the players and I forget his name)

a night Amir will never forget

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

the 49ers are owned by a local family
every year during the road trip between a few games
they arrive in town for
The Scholarship Foundation Banquet
a few side trips to children's hospitals...

I think one of the things most sports teams do right is encouraging players to give back to the community. Many of our KC Chief's players have charitable foundations and I know opportunities such as the one you went to provide so much joy and encouragement to young fans. ~Roberta
