Yesterday I did some Christmas shopping
a very bittersweet trip
to buy groceries for Cindy's boys
happy that I could afford
to provide them with a few meals and treats
sorry that they are having to
spend their first Christmas without
their mother
one of the boys
helps Mom get Dad to bed every night
it's a great peace of mind
to Mom that Dad will not fall
on the way to bed
the boys accept a small payment daily
they have said many times they
would do it for free
to call them any time
Their Mom would be proud

OOOOOO....I love me my Chocolate Scotcheroos!! I just don't like making them for some reason. (Could be the gooey/messy/melting parts???) ;o) So glad that you can help the boys in some way. Every now and again, I think of them and say a little prayer.... Gonna be a tough Christmas for many. Wishing you and yours a very MERRY one though!!
