Not the Seam Ripper

first things first
I rarely watch Duck Dynasty
but I know enough to know
Phil is my favorite...

So I've been getting all those
log cabin blocks
cut out for Mom and me...
stitching away
Happy Happy Happy

then I realized I cut the center too big
4" instead of 3"

at first I thought there was a way
to make it work
ha!
today I've been disassembling my 24 blocks
remarking all the pieces

think I'll just cut some new blocks for Mom
stitch them to the place we are now
good thing we both enjoy the process...

so no

ohdear...how frustrating! I hate to reverse sew! Glad you're enjoying the process of sewing them back together, though. xo

That would drive me nuts, I hate when I have to take things apart. I started watching that show, it cracks me up.

There is a new quilt shop opening in my town this Fall so maybe I will learn how to quilt. I've always wanted to make one.

What a wonderful moment...and your enjoyment of the process, and solution strikes me as just what an old time quilter would have done. I don't know when the "quilt police" first reared their ugly faces, but this quilt will be filled with memories of precious moments. Stay calm and stitch forward. :)
