Pumpkins and My Black Cat

picked up some pumpkins today
placed them around a
couple trees
in the front yard so Mom can see them...
 made us both happy!

*****

The visiting nurse was here this morning
to draw some blood from Mom
normally the cats are
closed in their rooms
but this morning they were loose
Melrose, the flirt
spent all his time sniffing the nurse
her purse and bags...
she has two cats
didn't mind
even when his cold nose travelled her ankles...

she asked if he was a problem to brush
with all that fur...
Ha!

I got out a brush and showed it to him
he came running over
the little showoff

Hey Sweetpea.... I've been a long time gone....tending to my own issues and madness. But....did a wee bit of catching up here....and Lordy....you have your hands full. I admire you for taking your mum in and working through this.... And, while belated, of course you (and your parents) have my prayers and heart-felt good thoughts.... To have both going through so much at the same time can be nothing BUT overwhelming... I am spent dealing with a fraction of what you are. Just finished moving my mother into a new assisted living facility last week (long story there....)and still feeling the rippling aftermath of that..... Please remember to take care of yourself (so easily said, eh??).... and hold tight to those fur babies of yours.... Purrr therapy works wonders.... Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin (PS - you're miles ahead of me....haven't even thought pumpkins yet - which for me is unheard of this time of year!!)

I need to get some, nice that your mom can enjoy them too. Moki is the one who likes company, he has to watch everyone who comes in the door. Today they both snuck out and took off, but we caught them right away.

I love the quote!
So good of you to place them where you both can enjoy them.
Hugs, blessings, and prayers!

Oh but I can definitely relate to the ADCD quote. Yup, that Melrose sounds like a wee bit of a flirt for sure.

Glad the pumpkins at the base of the trees has given your mother something to focus on and enjoy.

How nice of you, Kelley...to find time to decorate to please your mom in addition to all of your other obligations! Your cats crack me up! I'll bet the nurse enjoys every minute of Melrose! Take care and God bless.
