Rehab and Recovery

the first day of transfer is always the worst
(I pray this holds true)
confusion and pain from long ambulance ride
a new place to live
noisy room mate

Mom is again trying her best
saying it will be a Christmas gift
to my NC sister to get better
she promised on the phone last night

I stayed overnight and in to the morning
until my local sister arrived
she was more herself this morning
I'll be staying with her again tonight
then back to work
I know she is in a safe place
but I don't like being away from her
In the middle of the night she
said Melrose is a beautiful cat
I know she likes him best
when she is up to it
I'll bring him in
in a carrier...
Mom seems so small and fragile right now
but inside she is a fighter
if anyone can get through this
it's Mom

The moving to a new place is the hardest and having a bad roommate is not great. I would think they would keep quiet patients together, doesn't seem fair to your mom.

As always, thinking about you and your mom and prayers and good thoughts coming your way.

So difficult. I hope she gets a caring room mate to make her stay a little easier.

It's so hard being a daughter and taking care of a parent. I'm going through it with my mom too.

Keeping you and your mom in my prayers.
