Maybe...

there is a rummage sale in a few weeks
at a church near my old house
am waiting to hear if there are still tables available

might be fun to do something different for a change
extra $ would nice
mortgage is still something to get used to

plus I got some bad news
when the HVAC guy was here the other day
he found a hole in the vent
from hot water tank to outside pipe
(which is asbestos)

carbon monoxide leak
temporary fix until they can fit me in

Sometimes owning a house is not fun, was nice when someone else paid for repairs;) I hope it is not too major and can fix it without tearing your house apart, you need a break.

I have felt so many times like our house is a money pit, but then I think of all the love and laughter, and shelter and stability it has given us! It has been worth it, even with the $500.00 ouch last month of the leaky water heater. More always follows, but when I lie down at night to rest, I once again realize I am so blessed! I would love to have a huge box of church sale junky jewelry, to play with! a huge love of my heart! smile!

Hope the repair isn't too costly - I'm going through the same kind of issues with my old house - plumbing problems - oh the joy of home ownership - LOL - but I do love my little home and I know you love yours too. Sending prayers and positive thoughts!

oh Kelley, the woes of taking over an older home. I never thought about it before, but this home was built in 1963. There is asbestos tile even under the rug we took out in the kitchen here. Don't wNt to disturb the tiles so it's staying and we are putting pergo over top.
Hope things get better.
