Slowly Hooking

image from Pinterest

my hooking has been going very slowly
first I couldn't find even one
of my very many Miller pencil hooks
so was using an old Moshimer

yuck
it's short with a large hook
my hand objected constantly

last night I had to start cleaning
the sewing room again
until one of my precious hooks turned up

hooked as long as I could stay awake!

free time is in short supply here
sleep still takes precedence...
at least I'm happily hooking

*****

Mom had a good birthday
a good Sunday too
she's still feeling short of breath
deep cough
but getting better
we only had a short nap yesterday
darn her...I could have slept longer
even upright in a chair
oh no...
when she's ready to get up
her legs go over the side of the bed
as she's sitting up
pushing her call button for help

Patience is not one of her virtues
when it comes to wanting to get up
or
go to bed
so it's a good thing that my sister Deb
calls her about that time every day

***
back to hooking...
almost done with Jolly by Maria Barton
not sure what's next
photos when I can...

I am glad that you have found some time to hook. Seems like that is how I am crafting lately, too. Get a few stitches in when i can and when someone is jumping all over me;)

So happy you found your hook. I'd be lost if I couldn't find my Hartman! I'm sure it feels good to have hook in hand. Looking forward to seeing Jolly. I love Maria's patterns.
So glad mom had a good birthday.
Hugs :)
