I recently sent a few blocks
to a blogger collecting them for
Quilts of Valor
they were stitched pretty quickly for me
since all work is done by hand
deadlines and I don't get along
it got me thinking
about the fabric in my stash
that might never get used
mostly because I'm not a navy fan
but for Americana blocks it's a different story
slow stitching RW&B blocks
for veterans will be a breeze
as I go through the stash
organizing by color
I've been cutting out Evening Star blocks
setting the patches in a box
to be stitched when time allows
I always like to have some mindless stitching
ready for spare minutes...
do you do that too?
seems I can't bear to just sit with idle hands

That first quilt knocked my socks off. And they're compression.
I love handwork and always have two or three projects going. Don't want to get bored don't you know...love all of the quilts. I am a big Americana fan.
I do love to have handwork for those moments that sitting idle would drive me crazy. I really need to get a hand pieced prepped and ready to go. That first American quilt is just fabulous!
That is a good idea and with my brain lately, doing small things is easiest, I can always piecing blocks together, later on. I do have some nice americana and quilts I wanted to make, but at this point, I will just work on christmas this year and then I can get to those projects for spring and summer, in the winter.

The quilts are wonderful, but that first one is stunning!
How good of you to donate your talents, bless you!
Mindless is good :)
Happy Sunday,

I am always needing something to keep my hands busy too. I find that if I prep allot at one time, I will have endless projects to keep busy with...thus I am at that prepping stage right now, getting a bunch of things to do once fall television shows resume!!!
