Ready for Wool

 image from Pinterest

Mentally:
I am ready for wool
ready to hook
to dye
to have the wool dust flying

Reality:
finish Mom's quilt top
get it shipped out to be quilted

Clean the house!
as my father always said
"this place is a mell of a hess"
only multiply by about 10

maybe by Thursday I can hook

Yesterday
we laid out my "in between projects" patches
almost enough for a lap quilt

Mom and Ann love doing this
checking out each piece of fabric

today I took in a few appliqué blocks
Mom stitched a few years ago
we are thinking a few small wall-hangings

these were blocks I was going to
incorporate into her new quilt
but with all the mistakes I made
that idea was squashed...

she said if I find any more
things she's started
I'm to give them to her
so she can give them to Grandma
because she will love them

I always think when she gets to Heaven
it will truly be a day to rejoice
for she will see her Mother again
she wants nothing more

Who can blame her

It is good to get the wool dust flying. Just what I want to do. I had company last weekend so I was forced to clean now to get off the computer.

It can be frustrating finding time for ourselves but the memories that you are sharing with you mom and the happiness you bring to her, will be something you can keep in your heart forever, enjoy each moment and memory. I love hearing stories about you and your mom, you have both become my family.

Kelley,
It always warms my heart to see your photos and read your thoughts about your sweet mom! She looks so good and always seems so happy! It has to be all the good care, the fabrics and quilts that are so comforting!
Blessings to you both!!
Hugs!!
