Sorry, my savings plan is to try and move a bit from checking to savings when I have little left over. I've seen the weekly challenge with dollars. If I had that much extra, it wouldn't be much of a challenge. LOL

But, you're right, I should do something...I'll have to give this a little thought.

Have a good day!

Stay off the internet shops. That would save a lot. I'll do this - if I can remember. My mom always had a little bank and I would "find" change in her bed, chair, or pocket which she would put in her bedside bank every day. She thought she had a fortune even though most were pennies.

I have a money jar and put all the change in it.
I always use dollars when I shop so I get change and put it in, it adds up.
Great for trips too, we use the quarters at the toll booths or coffee tips.

Wow, interesting how it added up to that much. And you wouldn't believe how much money I've saved from just finding loose and lost change in shopping center parking lots, on the floor in the grocery store, etc. Over the years of collection I twice found a $20 bill. I have the money in two separate zip purses which come with Clinique and/or Estee Lauder bonus make up purchases. Haven't counted the money and the $20s aren't in the bags but they are heavy with a variety of coins and a few bills.

I, too, save all my silver coins on a daily basis and it adds up. I use it for my "fun" money ~ wool, antiques, etc.
Good luck with your savings.

This is cool. I'm going to try it with nickels.

The last Sunday of every month, the church collects change in a basket, whatever anyone wants to save and add in, or not, is pooled for church maintenance and repair. This is separate from regular collections. But it does add up over time.

I need to save more, this would work for me up to a , but the last several weeks would pinch. Still it's a goal to work for.

Great idea... Hmmm.... I clean my boys' (Mr. Crow's and Little Crow's) pockets when I do laundry, and dutifully return each and every penny where it belongs.... Not that they notice, or care. Me thinks it's going to go in a "save-me" jar this year...we'll see what we accumulate and decide where it goes from there. Thanks for the inspiration! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
