Ughhh

started our 3 month
diet contest at work this week

I put on way too many holiday pounds
with that came some shortness of breath on exertion
some chest and back pain
(my thought is heartburn from an abundance of fresh salsa)

but you know how doctors are about chest pain
so on Monday
I'm having a nuclear medicine stress test
just to be sure...

once cleared to exercise
I'm joining the local Planet Fitness
it's open 24 and close to home
planning on going a few times after work
and on my days off
a little bike riding to start

you know the old saying
I'm sick and tired of waking up sick and tired

I hope your tests come back with good news, and yes, I know I am out of shape and it makes me feel horrid. I hate the cold but I do know when I take bean out to play and walk around the yard a few times, I do feel better, moving around and the fresh air. Hopefully we can move forward this year, to better health.

Good luck with the test. This getting old stuff is not for sissies. I've been to the doctor more in the last couple of years than probably my whole lifetime.
I wish I had the ambition to exercise!
Hugs :)

I've had that nuclear stress test and did fine. But that was at least 8 years ago but then I'm now 74. They are a very expensive test and not sure Medicare would pay for that for me now.

Good for you. Always best to side with caution. I always meet nice folks in the sitting room waiting for our nuclear to glow. Haven't joined anything because I am embarrassed at exercise places, which is silly. Have fun!

Good luck with your tests. Hopefully it's nothing serious. I know I need to exercise more but find it difficult to get motivated.

I am with you, I am in no shape to exercise. LOL I have a beautiful treadmill and exercise bike, but haven't used either for over a month. The longer I care for my dad, the less I care for myself. It's a vicious circle.
