Just Stuff

overdye:
the teals were formerly dyed light purples
the greens ...lighter greens, tans golds
purple was purple (hideous in real life)

two out of three successes!

today there is more overdyeing
of the formerly overdyed

my kind of butcher shop

  today I'm finally dropping off
all of Mom's puzzles
the folks at the Alzheimer's Network Center
are happy to receive them!

Scrubbing up kitchen stuff next
will pack away for church rummage sale next year
I don't bake anymore...
Mom was an excellent baker of everything
keeping a few really old unique pans

Little by little

Love your overdyeing of the overdyed! I used to do that...all those years ago. Purging is sometimes difficult, but always good when you're done. xo

Indeed, like healing, "little by little." I got great comfort in donating much of my mother's lace making supplies to her former guild. Your mother's puzzles will be so appreciated by others...As you purge, your world will continue to get lighter and "Lighter...."

Kelley, hope you took time from dyeing and purging to watch Outlander. Love that series. Jan

This year has been an unbelievable watermelon fest. Husband cubes 1/2 at a time, and I eat the entire melon half in two days. I must have gone through 20 so far this year.

And this is a stupid question, but something I've always wondered. Your wool purchases are various colors, and then you change them for a specific project? Or because you no longer like the color? Or do you acquire fabric with the intention to dye?

Love your new colors, I need to get some dying done too, especially while it is still warm, so I can do it on the porch.
