I thought I was tired before mom broke her hip...ha!!!
she had her hip pinning late Sunday afternoon
much less serious than a hip replacement
I seems she stood up
her hip broke
then she fell
right next to her bed on thick carpet
very lucky to have missed hitting her head
on fan or footboard
tons of x rays and head/neck CT scans
no other fractures
surgery went well
she is slowly recovering
other problems adding to slow recovery
with her dementia it's tough
to leave her alone...
dad is having his surgery on Thursday...
my sister from NC is flying up tomorrow
after I asked this morning
two of them in different hospitals
at least 20 miles apart
is going to be
something
we're working on getting her rehab
at the same facility as Dad

Thanks for the update Kelley. So glad to hear that your Sister is on her way. Will continue to pray for you all.
ReplyDeleteI hope they can get her in the same facility, it will be easier for you and easier on them to be together. I hope your sister stays long enough to help, you really need a break.

Hoping when your sister arrives, she can bring some laughter along with her! I hope that your mom and dad are in the same facility, not quite sure from what I read.
ReplyDeleteSo far you are doing what you need to do, even when the level rises. Hats off, prayers raised, and circle the wagons! Hugs!
