One Year

the look on Mom's face cracks me up
I can see her saying
"you aren't allowed up there but just this once..."

Melrose loved Mom as much as she loved him

today she has been gone one year
Dad four and a half years...
I am so blessed with all the memories of wonderful parents...

her favorite song...

God bless you today, Kelley. That was my Daddy's favorite song, too.

We played that song at my Grandmother's funeral because that is always where you would find her, in the garden, or one of her many flower beds.

I was thinking of her the other day and wondering if her anniversary was close. You were such a blessing to her.

The first year is always the hardest and she became a part of my life and memories, as well.
It always made me happy when you told me how much she loved sharing some of the goodies I sent and the ones she sent me. I do love that song, too.

A beautiful tribute to your mom. I remember that picture! It doesn’t seem like she has been gone a year already. Blessings my friend.

It is so very hard to "say goodbye" to your Mother.......
I was so moved to see your post as that hymn was my Mother's favorite too. The church organist didn't know it and we had to search books to find it for her to play at the funeral. I have been without my Mother since 2000. Isn't it so wonderful that we are able to have memories to make us feel better......and to get us through the tough times.
