Yesterday I did some Christmas shopping
a very bittersweet trip
to buy groceries for Cindy's boys
happy that I could afford
to provide them with a few meals and treats
sorry that they are having to
spend their first Christmas without
their mother
one of the boys
helps Mom get Dad to bed every night
it's a great peace of mind
to Mom that Dad will not fall
on the way to bed
the boys accept a small payment daily
they have said many times they
would do it for free
to call them any time
Their Mom would be proud
