Winter Solstice Quilt

Mom finished taking a border off the quilt for me
it was brown and just not right
I had them say "cheese"
Mom did but Ann was too busy watching the parking lot
this was my very last piece
that could be deconstructed in any way
need to find something else for her hands to do
I'll be giving this to my sister when she comes to visit
stitched it about 20 years ago
not my colors anymore...
Happy Weekend!
Monday I'll be posting the photos from
the Sheep Challenge
in Lori Brechlins Out Of Hand Hookers Challenge Group
on Facebook
I offered up a little doodle
wait until you see all the sweet pieces...

Color Choices

when I started stitching these
I couldn't decide on a color scheme

so I stitched both

the blue and brown
will have blue borders
blue or brown binding?
probably brown

the green and red
will have red borders
green binding

After 5 days off
I go back to work today...bleh!
would much rather stay home and stitch
it's still cold
with more on the way

UFO Evidence

these ufo's have reached the quilted state
only binding and maybe labels left

top row needs quilted
middle row might need narrow sashing
bottom row has a way to go

some sort of Chinese Coins design
will finish with the rows today
then add border

my little sweetie
checking my hand for a snack

seriously...
where's the snack?

A Fine Companion

Melrose might look calm
but his tail was swishing a mile a minute
the crows in a nearby tree had his full attention

he chattered away to them for half the morning...

I spent my time next to him at the sewing room table
working on small quilts...
cutting borders, pressing blocks
deciding which UFO to work on next

Olivia you ask?
sound asleep on a pile of freshly dried wool
on the kitchen counter
my fault for setting it there
instead of taking it to the wool room

I'm feeling so much better with a change in meds
Energy and a Clear Head
make all the difference

planning on sharing some of my
small quilts
in progress tomorrow
there are just
so
very
many
of
them
!!!

Hooking and Quilting

these pumpkins were for sale on eBay
a few years ago...
I don't remember who the seller was...
though I've hooked some myself
these are still my favorites

I'm almost finished with the giveaway rug
soon to start some small fall items
with pumpkins galore!

This stencil is on my eBay watch list...
considering it for hand quilting
many of my little quilts

I know I could draw my own stipple pattern
but will I?

After x rays, tapping and probing
it looks like my sinuses are causing the pain
started on antibiotics yesterday
now I
no longer feel like poking myself in the eardrum
with a pointy stick...

rarely do I have sinus issues
so no netty pot...
will look in to one just in case
thanks for your warm thought and good ideas
