Sparhawk Rug

This is the Sparhawk rug I've been talking about...my sister Judy bought it for me for Christmas last year and finally the wool is being cut for it...when I asked for it on my wish list I did not know it came in different sizes...this one is huge and I love it!!! Pattern is drawn on linen and from W Cushings...here is a link to their website...they don't have a good or updated site but if you want to hook this rug too give them a call...

Here is my old Longaberger laundry basket I've been filling with wool cut for Sparhawk... it will take quite a lot of wool...even though I have a Fraiser cutter I prefer the look of hand cut strips...they are uneven and make the rug look more prim...

Hooked this one more than about six or seven years ago...it's from Woolley Fox and has been stored away for a few years...it may be a keeper or it may be unhooked and the wool used in other projects...

Somebody got in trouble in the garage this morning when he was going to spray on a bench out there so he's trying to get the screen door open to get back in the breezeway...must be a "male" thing...it's the closest he get to being outside and there is a perfectly good litter box in the house...

Kelley - I never knew that you hand cut your wool strips! I have a friend who likes to do that, but I'd never have the patience for it. Can't wait to see your sparhawk rug as it progresses - what size is it?

I don't know much about rug hooking at all - but I can see how hand cut strips would give a more prim look. The star rug is just gorgeous - please spare it from 'unhooking'

I love to hand cut and have been doing it for about 6 years...should sell my cutter one of these days...

yes, crazy is one word for me...I have a few rugs on block for reverse hooking...should I keep it quiet if I undo the star rug?
