The Mondara aka Bee Balm is blooming in my flower beds right now and I love the bright red spikes...this photo is not from my yard though...I've been fiddling with a rug design incorporating the word HERBS and a beeskep for a few weeks now...just can't seem to get it exactly as I like...
here's a rough sketch in case it works for you...I'm going to leave out the bird and maybe change the herb to lavender...who knows...
here's a link to info about bee balm...and I do get lots of bees and a few hummingbirds by mine...when the Butterfly Bushes bloom later in the season is when I really see those little hummers...and big giant bumble bees...
