Use It Up

My very simple plan for 2012

with the addition of

Do Without

huge stash of supplies:

quilt fabric
wool ~ wool ~ wool
floss and thread
books ~ patterns
batting
cotton velvet ~ prairie cloth

I don't need a thing but
time to use it up

WW2 poster

other than floss for punch needle

I'll be making do & using it up this year

( I say this every year

but for some reason know it's finally true)

pin from WW1

I will be needing new scrubs for work

I'd love a new purse

don't need one

as I'm carrying an old leather

Dooney and Burke that is beautifully worn

sigh

Wishing You A Very Happy New Year!

I could certainly follow the same plan Kelley! I have so many supplies I really don't need a thing. I have that quilt book. I need to get it out and look at it as it's probably been years since I did! Wishing you and your fur babies a most healthy 2012 filled with many blessings. Warm hugs, Lori

Best wishes in keeping your commitment to only buy what you need. I vow to do this every year at this time and while I have bought less this year than last, I could do better - much better.

I think I need to get a tattoo with that on it... ;o) Seriously, I think most of us could stand to do a little more "making-do." And gotta say - D&B only gets better with time.... ;o) Wishing you a wonderful new year filled with hope and promise....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

Thanks for the reminder!! I have done that in the past in regard to face creams and hair products, etc. I'm going to put that into practice ~ and yes, it goes for food, rug hooking supplies and so much more!! Love the antique quilts that you're sharing! Happy 2012!
