Dad has been sleeping
as much as a cat every day
he might wake up for a few minutes
when I visit...
long enough for a few sips of water
to roll his eyes back in pleasure
when I rub his head with a warm damp washcloth
long enough to tell him
we all love him
and to talk about cats
he loves to see the blog posts of
Love & Hisses
every day
the antics of the kittens put a spark in his eyes
he will wake up long enough
to talk about kittens
my cats
cats he's loved...
the little things are everything
