Light Neutrals

as I think about how I'd like the house to look
I keep leaning toward neutrals
especially white and off white

I have so many colorful pieces
quilts
hooked rugs
painted furniture

they will all go nicely with a neutral background

in this house
with the amber knotty pine walls in one room
yellow gold wallpaper in another
I look and see what it can be

it might be a project with no end
lucky for me I enjoy the process
even these planning stages...

the sidebar is looking up
 celebration account is 86% funded
nearly a miracle
since I've never been good at saving

the past few years have turned me
around in so many ways
one of the good ways
is my lack of desire for "things"
there is simply no time to enjoy them anyway...

other than ordinary bills
my largest expense is bird food!!!

Happy Wednesday
from a cold and snow Ohio
where the cardinals and blue jays are happy
almost as happy as the woodpeckers

I love the soft neutral look too. You can always punch it up with a few colorful accent pieces. I've been leaning towards a soft grey for the upstairs in my house. If I ever get the urge to tackle another painting job ;)

I do love the look and with quilts and art work, it would be stunning against those light shades. I notice the birds love to come out when it is raining or snowing. Congrats on your goal, I need to do that too.

Congrats on nearing your goal in your celebration account! You should treat yourself to some wool :)
We are supposed to be down to 1 degree by morning. UGH!

Love all the Nordic inspiration here.
I love a natural feel to a home, it adds so much calmness to a life lived.

I enjoy looking at these and think I could live in a home like this, but I'd have to start all over.....
