Packing It Up

instead of forcing myself
by trying to create
permission has been granted to pack it all away
for now

still working on things with Mom
changing that is unthinkable

You can only do what you can do...sometimes I stitch, sometimes I just look at stitching. When my father first came to live with us, I gave up stitching altogether. It was just too hard to concentrate on him and count at the same time. Now that he is bedridden, I have gotten out of the habit and sometimes forget that I DO stitch. I've picked up a few other crafts that take less brain work...quilting and punch needle. Cutting fabric is my quiet time and punch needle is totally a no-brainer. Life is not easy, hang in there. What you do for your mom is amazing and a such a gift to her.
