it's going to be tough
to get in to the spirit this year...
losing Dad
losing Mom bit by bit
some days
it's hard to pretend
then I hear Mom talking to the cats
in the next room
I can forget the heart ache
for a second...
Wishing you a peaceful day ~

ReplyDeleteBe gentle with yourself. Glad to hear you were napping. As one caregiver to another I walk in your shoes....1FIFOTO.....1 foot in front of the other. I pray soon you'll be able to hold on to the memories & gradually let go of the grief.

It is going to be a touch year for you with loss of your dad and your mom's memories, but she still remembers the past, so maybe you can bring out some old ornaments and things and photos of the family at the holidays, she will love that.

Hi Kell,
ReplyDeleteThe Holidays are hard after losing someone so close. Keeping the good memories alive are a must I think. Those little things that keep us happy and content become of utmost importance.
Sending good energies for peace and healing my friend!
Hugs!!!!
