started with a 14" circle

it ends up larger

as I tend to hook outside the outer line on all rugs

I think Sarah will like it

her colors

I choose 5 hearts

 because she and her husband have 3 daughters

(just like my parents)

this was my original plan

a wider border of scrappy reds

 my rough draft

when drawn on the linen backing

I tweaked the hearts

please enjoy hooking this simple pattern

no selling the pattern

Hooking Hearts

finally decided on the design

for this mat with hearts last night at midnight

there is enough linen in this piece

for a few mug mats too

using up red and green worms...

colors chosen by the gal I'm hooking it for

that's her below with Mom

Mom says she knows the name

but doesn't recognize Sarah as a scarecrow

last week I whipped her up a little fleece blanket

the other side is a bright-ish green 

as you can see, she's pretty happy with it

the wool winner hasn't contacted me

so tomorrow morning

I'll draw another name if I don't hear from her

  

Just the Eyes

after the eyes are added

I must 

work on finishing the chair pads

at the very least get them ready to tote around with me

remind of that if I start another rug first, okay?

is already waiting on the frame

this one was so fun it almost hooked itself

I did hook outside the lines 

so now it's about 13"

I'm a happy hooking again hooker this week!

 also decided to close my etsy store

so I won't be tempted to try and list things again

too stressful for me

Next on the Frame

This morning I finished hooking

the third chair pad

it's time to move to a different project

with a change of colors...

I won't be dyeing anything special

like Saundra did (and I love)

just need to use up some worms

leaning towards a round chair pad

back in the morning to share some progress

said she was going to hook some chair pads

I volunteered to make them

with so many worms cut

in just the colors she was planning

I knew it would be a fun project

after a little discussion about scrappy and hit-n-miss

 each pad will have a different colored star
