Decluttering Continues

going through my belongings is not tough

sorting through a lifetime

of my parents belongings is another story

and I'm not all that sentimental

I can't just toss perfectly usable items

they must be donated or given away

this is my holding station

box for books

lots of recycling

shoes of moms to donate

(after I dust and polish them)

I've already donated 

clothes, more clothes, household items

quilt fabric

I set stuff at the end of the drive

I take things to work

so how do you like that bucket bench?

it's the one my local sister gave to recently

it's antique prim perfection

those  knotty pine walls drive me nuts

one day they will be a dusty white...

still MIA

I know I had it recently

put it away somewhere safe...

No More Stuff

I don't need more stuff

just need to get it out where I can see it to use

this is fat quarters of cotton

I'd use it for wool

too fussy for me

I like the idea of hanging organizers though

I'm thinking my patterns on red dot

or other large patterns on paper

 

 maybe I've shared this one before

I have lots of wall space in my sewing room

Kitchen Sink Rug

this scrappy rug is going in front of the kitchen sink

hoping this one will really shrink the worm stash

fun using colors I normally avoid 

mats prepped and ready to finish

whip the edges

then cover the back with a heavier wool

will practice on these before doing Debbie's

biscuit making

he looks a mess but I swear he's always being brushed

working on decluttering this week

about 20 large bags of fabric donated to a few 

churches and gals that make small quilts

for hospitals, homeless and nursing homes

still plenty left for quilt making

next I'm tackling Mom's clothes

starting with her coat collection

she loves coats like some women love shoes!

Donation

Time for another round of

reducing my belongings...

I've lived in this house

for a year now

there are plenty of things I haven't

wanted or needed

sitting around taking up space...

after this I'm done for a while
oh I have plenty more to declutter

but it takes too much time

away from my creating

next declutter will be bundles of wool

A Little Less Stuff

Every day I find more things

to declutter around here...

are heading to the

Angels for Animals Garage Sale

they start accepting donations

April 24 and my car will be loaded!

along with a few boxes of fabric

more snowmen and Christmas decorations

Melrose was a rescue kitty

from Angels for Animals

so he thinks donating is a great idea

I brought the paper bag

in from the car today

intending to use it

for junk to toss out...

First Olivia got in it

then Melrose

No cat has moved yet

as they try to deter

me from vacuuming!
