Antique Inspiration

This rug was on eBay a while ago...

something about the old rugs that inspire

me to create my own version

I'm working on the borders

deciding what colors to use for the center...

blues and browns

drab neutrals

olive and khaki

???

Will share a work in progress photo soon

Now that I've finally picked up the hook again

I can barely stand to put it down What a great feeling!

i have that one in my idea folder and even based my Mom's rug at Christmas on it but I knew she would want "more color" - love this one and the others this seller had!

No advice for you on your rug...You do just fine on your own. Looking forward to seeing it.

Good for you, Kelley!!! It is so nice for you to finally be able to do what you love..you have been very busy with the move..now it's time for you to relax. I love that rug...such a simple design, but the colors are beautiful!

No wonder you find this rug so inspirational. Simple and classic, can't wait to see your version in the lovely colors you suggested. Hope you put some eggplant or aubergine in place of the black. :)

Glad you've settled in enough for time to pick your hook up again. Sweet contentment in hands moving in creation.
