Loops and Stitches

One more rug hooked from the woolly worm

scrap baskets...

this closeup shows the true colors

mostly drab with some wild red

I tried to make it look old and make-do
Its' approx 20 x 26

has planned on hooking a word in the middle

but ended up not being enough room...

plenty of woolly worm scraps in the basket

for another rug using only already cut worms

for now the hooking tools and supplies are put away

~ time for some hand piecing ~

I saw this little quilt for sale on eBay recently

can you believe it's only 15 x 17???

those are some mighty small flying geese...

I'll be cutting out some little triangles soon

for a not nearly so small

flying geese quilt of my own...

Olivia gets to the window first

to have a look at the wild turkey strutting around

she is such a mighty hunter

I would be afraid she'd go after if outside...

Beautiful rug! I really REALLY REALLY want to get my hooking back out! How can I make more hours in a day? :)

Olivia looks very happy with that window. Sweet girl!

I like it! Love the red mixed in, and the little quilt, so great! Gobble, gobble, meow, meow, wonder if they can talk to each other through the screen? Have a great weekend! I like your blog!

Love your scrappy happy rug - you know the hit and misses are my favorite (and just what i'm working on - but the worm basket gets bigger not smaller for some reason!) Ooh i can image if she got out - that turkey wouldn't have a chance!

Perfectly done! Love the red! I love the look of a simple design rug like this with no motif to put anywhere!
I can't wait to see your flying geese quilt! Better watch Olivia while you work on that one as she seems really interested in large birds! LOL
Have a great day my dear friend!

Great looking rug! I really like the placement of the squares. Good luck with those tiny geese! lol! Olivia certainly would gobble up that turkey... even without cranberry sauce! lol! ;-)

The rug came out beautifully.
I think hand stitching small pieces would be a lot easier than machine,

I absolutely love your rug! It is just perfect and frankly I wish I had it in my house! The colors are falling within my favorite hues and the red just makes it pop in just the right way!
