Small Quilts

work truly kicked my butt last week
between that and Dr appointments I didn't feel like hooking
so I grabbed the scrap basket
cutting strips for some log cabin pieces

the plan is to machine piece
not my favorite
am going to work on improving my patience for it

these top 2 pics are some favorite Cheri designs...

the next two are from an etsy seller

 another perfectly simple Cheri design

I'm still cutting up scraps
in between cleaning/organizing the sewing room
and napping
it's a perfect day for napping

wishing you a safe and happy Saturday!

Savoring

taking my time reading the final book
by Maeve Binchy
who passed away in 2012

she has long been one of my favorite authors
a departure from my normal
gruesome reading...

using bits of free time to create the freezer paper templates
will be working with wool for my applique
long rather than square
not using the large snowmen in the border...

Also working on a green and red one patch
small quilt inspired by Lori

tan 9 patches
hooking
dyeing
a little bit of this and that
savoring the process of all

Where & What Women Create

mostly I create a mess

when doing
any sort of handwork
with fabric strewn here and there

works in progress
covering all the
flat surfaces...

right now
I'm hooked on small quilts

the patches above are for
Chinese Coins
from the book
Remembering Adelia

these blocks were leftovers
from a previous quilt

thinking of adding
a border with some applique

a fall punch needle pieces

waits to be finished...
will have a black cat
or another pumpkin

some wool on wool applique
